Slides to TV
IT'S NOT SIGNAGE. IT'S HELP.

Everybody here is a volunteer.
Nobody here is a designer.

The flyer on the easel is from March, the TV in the lounge is playing a screensaver, and the one person who knew how to update it moved to Florida. Slides to TV is built so the next volunteer can pick it up in an afternoon — and so a few local sponsors can cover what it costs.

"WHO'S GOING TO KEEP IT UP?"

The person who runs your screens will change. The screens shouldn't notice.

Volunteer-run places don't lose their screens to bad software. They lose them to turnover — the one person who knew how it worked steps down, and the TV quietly goes back to a screensaver.

  • Answer a few plain questions and the AI builds the slide — artwork, layout, wording. No design skill, no template wrangling, no "who has the file?"
  • Snap a photo of the paper flyer somebody already made and it fills itself in.
  • Approvals mean a new volunteer can't put something wrong on the TV — they submit, an officer okays it. Or let your trusted people post straight through.
  • A Help page that documents your setup and an onboarding checklist that only lists steps you can actually do — so the next person can pick this up in an afternoon.

"WHO'S GOING TO PAY FOR IT?"

Three local sponsors and it's covered. The fourth one is money for the post.

Your members and regulars are exactly the customers every business on Main Street wants to reach. Sell a few of them a slot in the rotation and the screens stop being a line item.

  • Advertiser reports are included at the Community rate — not an upgrade, not an add-on. The feature that pays for the service shouldn't be the one behind the paywall.
  • Hand each sponsor a one-page report for their month, with a day-by-day chart showing exactly how many times their ad played and for how long.
  • That report is what renews them. "It ran 412 times last month" beats "thanks for supporting us."
  • Turn on the monthly email and last month's numbers file themselves — nobody has to remember.
  • Read the whole ad-revenue playbook →

"WILL IT FIT HOW WE DO THINGS?"

Your emblem, your colors, your words — not a software company's.

A post is not a restaurant and a church is not a clinic. Tell the app what kind of place you are and it rearranges itself to match — different starter categories, fewer knobs, your vocabulary.

  • Legion and VFW posts get their own mode: Queen of Hearts, Volunteer of the Month, Entertainment, Kitchen Specials — already there, already named the way you say them.
  • Churches and nonprofits start from a clean, general set and name their own categories — service times, ministries, drives, meetings — each with its own short form to fill in.
  • Your emblem and your colors, uploaded once, land on every slide where they belong.
  • Groups match how you're actually organized — Auxiliary, S.A.L., Riders, Honor Guard, committees, ministries — and each one only makes the kinds of slides you allow.

What a post, a church, or a chapter gets out of it

🙋 Anyone can run it

If your least technical member can't use it, we consider it broken. Big buttons, plain words, and a finished slide in about a minute — from a phone, in the lounge.

💵 It can pay for itself

A few local sponsors cover the monthly cost, and each one gets printed proof their ad ran. Ad reports are included at this level, not sold back to you.

📋 Nothing wrong goes up

Members submit, an officer approves, and approved wording stays approved. Every slide remembers who made it and who okayed it.
